A number of German politicians from across the political spectrum have signed a beautiful and hopeful letter to their British friends across the channel (published in The Times today, though behind a paywall). The right-wing press has continuously cast the EU as a hostile exterior force and Germany in particular has been vilified, so it’s crucial to listen to what the European member states are actually saying to the people of Britain.
